1.      BEGINNING

Conversation:

Can you tell me something about your life, family and hobbies?

What is your occupation and how do you enjoy it?

Are there any targets which you want to hit in your future?

Why do you want to improve your English?

Procedure:
Take turns in asking and answering these questions. 

Duration:
This part should take minimally 10-20 minutes.

2.      THE MAIN TOPIC

Conversation A – close family:

Describe each member of your close family, please. Tell me about them in general, their character and activities they spend their time with.

What does your close family mean to you? Would you like to change anything about them?

As far as your common leisure time is concerned, how do you spend it?

Conversation B – other family members and free time:

Who else belongs to your further family? Do you have nephews/nieces/cousins? How often do you see them?

What´s your opinion about family reunions? Where/why and how often does your family usually organize them?

Have you ever got any special present from any of your family members on such a celebration? What do you personally usually give others?

Conversation C – generally about family:

Why is family of such importance for people?

What can cause troubles within a family? Why do family members argue? What do you think about a so called generation gap?

Should a family have any common future goals? What type of? Have you got any?

Procedure:
Please, start with the conversation A and then you can continue with B and C. You don´t have to discuss all the questions if you don´t want / you can ask some other questions if you like.

Duration:
Every piece of these conversations (A, B, C) should take minimally 10 minutes, but can be as long as you want.

3.       ENDING

Ask your parner any additional questions which interest you.
Thank your parner for the conversation.
You can as well arrange for the next common meeting.

Don´t be mean and share some candies with us too. = Nebuď lakomý a dej nám taky nějaké cukrovinky.

generous … štědrý
Their grandmother is very generous and always wants the best for everybody. = Jejich babička je velmi štědrá a vždycky chce pro každého to nejlepší.

stubborn … tvrdohlavý
Unfortunately I am sometimes very stubborn. = Bohužel jsem někdy velmi tvrdohlavý.

furious … rozzuřený
This will make him terribly furious. = Tohle ho děsně rozzruří!
